Abhinav gets home from the office, Ananya is on the phone.
ABHINAV:
Hi Honey
Ananya smiles at him. Abhinav relaxes on the sofa. Ananya finishes the conversation and hangs up the phone with a happy face.
Sits next to him and says excitingly.
ANANYA:
You know, my parents called us for dinner, Friday, tomorrow.
Abhinav looks at her reluctantly and says
ABHINAV:
What you are so excited about? Your parents live in this city only, just 10 kilometers from here. And you go there every other week,
for that matter you just came back couple of days back.
Ananya gets upset.
ABHINAV:
Ok, ok. Just kidding, relax. Ok, we’ll go.
Ananya face turns happy again.
ANANYA:
It’s not that, you are going to be in Khammam the whole next week.
I will be bored here alone. I want to stay there with my parents till you get back.
ABHINAV:
Yeah, yeah, I already expected that you would ask for this.
But it doesn’t look good Ananya going to your Parents house very often.
ANANYA:
Come on, why it doesn’t look good, they are my Parents, they like me so much.
Not only that, I have my sister Nirnaya there and also Parimala and Karthikeya. One week will be gone just like that.
Abhinav looks at her uninterestingly and says sarcastically.
ABHINAV:
Yes, yes, your child hood friend and neighbor the great Hypnotist Karthikeya and his wife
Ananya gets mad and her face turns red.
ANANYA:
Why you always talk about him like that. What harm he has done to you, hypnotism is his profession and he is really good at that.
He won so many accolades and awards. Do you know people go crazy on his shows? He cured lot of patients. You Know? He is not a Hypnotist, he is Hypnotherapist.
Just to make people aware of this Hypnotism and its benefits , he does the stage shows.
Abhinav puts his hands around her.
ABHINAV:
OK, OK Lady, I was just joking. I won’t say anything against your childhood friend and neighbor. Ok?
ANANYA:
I know, you say this here and pick fight with him whenever we meet them.
And you are not even polite to him, u make so many remarks about his hypnotism and also about him.
The only time you were nice to him was when he lost his Dad
ABHINAV:
Sorry, sorry baba, I won’t do it again.
He is basically a nice guy, but some time irritates me. I will be nice to him this time.
Ok? We will leave tomorrow evening, ok?
Ananya is very happy.
ANANYA:
I know, I know, you will say yes, you are my sweet hubby. I know how much you love me.
ABHINAV:
Really?
ANANYA:
Yes, you never expected any money from my parents and you never bothered me for anything. You gave me whatever I asked. I am lucky to have you.
Abhinav smiles.
ABHINAV:
Ok, Ok, enough, too much flattering. I am going to burst like a balloon
They both laugh and get up.
ABHINAV:
But I remember you saying, your parents will go out of city for a wedding on this coming Sunday? Are you going too?
ANANYA:
I may not go, it’s just 1.5 hours from our place. Wedding is Sunday night. They will leave on Sunday evening and stay that night at my uncle’s house.
Will be back by Monday morning.
ABHINAV:
But I will have to leave on Sunday morning for Khammam. You will be alone.
ANANYA:
Yes, I know. I will be ok, I will manage. Anyways, Karthikeya and Parimala will be for
me, their house is just next to ours, just a wall. I can reach out to them for any help.
ABHINAV:
Why don’t you go with your parents for wedding, instead of staying alone and getting scared.
ANANYA:
These weddings are boring, I don’t want to go without you. I was born and brought up in that house, I am not scared.
ABHINAV:
Ok, it’s up to you.

Location: Ananya’s Parents’ home
Interior- Dining Room
Characters: Abhinav, Ananya. Ananya’s sister Nirnaya(20).
Ananya’s Dad Srinivas Rao and Mom Neeraja.
Friday night around 8:30 PM

They all having dinner. Ananya’s Dad Srinivas Rao and Abhinav are having some conversation.
ABHINAV::
Heard, you are going for the wedding on Sunday evening.
SRINIVASA RAO:
Yes, I wanted take you and Ananya also, but you are going to Khammam Sunday morning and Ananya says she won’t come without you.
ABHINAV::
When you will be back.
SRINIVASA RAO:
Monday Morning.
ABHINAV::
Are you going in car?
SRINIVASA RAO:
No, by Bus, Ananya wants the car, since she will be alone here, she wants to go out shopping with Parimala.
While they are having dinner Karthikeya(29) and Parimala(25) enter.
KARTHIKEYA:
Hello, I heard you guys are coming, I saw your car.
Abhinav looks at him reluctantly
ABHINAV:
Hello Mister Hypnotist
Ananya looks at Abhinav seriously. Abhinav apologizes to her
ABHINAV:
Sorry, sorry.
Neeraja offers them dinner, they say they just had at some Restaurant.
KARTHIKEYA:
I am inviting you guys to Lunch tomorrow. Uncle, you all should come.
They will have some jovial conversation and leave.

Location: Kathikeya’s home
Interior
Characters: Abhinav, Ananya. Ananya’s sister Nirnaya.
Ananya’s Dad Srinivas Rao and Mom Neeraja.
Saturday around noon.

All women in the kitchen, Srinivas Rao in the living roo watching TV. Karthikeya and Abhinav are in Karthikeya’s office room having some discussion.
KARTHIKEYA:
So, you don’t believe in hypnotism.
ABHINAV:
Yes, I don’t.
KARTHIKEYA:
You should have attended one of my shows.
You know, you can do lots of things with hypnotism. You can get rid of bad habits like smoking, alcoholism, stage fears, stuttering, insomnia, mental stress, fears, depression etc.
It can be used for lot of medical purposes.
ABHINAV:
You think you can hypnotize me?
KARTHIKEYA:
See, no one can be hypnotized against his or her will. You should believe in it and concentrate.
I have one more ability, that is erasing memories. Not many Hypnotherapists have this ability.
I had a patient, who saw his Dad’s tragic death in an accident. He went through so many sleepless nights ,
but after my treatment he totally forgot that incident, now is fine.
Abhinav laughed out loud.
KARTHIKEYA:
Ok, you don’t believe me. Give me your gold chain and I will make you forget that you gave me you chain.
I will record this with the video camera and will show it to you once you come out of hypnosis.
Karthikeya goes and gets a video camera, starts recording. He also brings a pendulum and gets ready.
Abhinav hands his gold chain to him
KARTHIKEYA:
Again, you have to concentrate on my words or else you won’t get hypnotized. There is nothing much I could do if you don’t concentrate. We
use spiral or Pendulum to hypnotize. You have stay focus on this moving pendulum.
ABHINAV
Ok.
Abhinav relaxes in the chair and keeps looking at the moving pendulum.
KARTHIKEYA:
Just relax and keep looking at this pendulum. Relax, take a deep breath, you won’t hear any body other than my words. You are going to sleep, deep sleep .
Abhinav goes into trance.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now you are only listening to my words. You do as I say.
Abhinav is listening to him in deep trance. Karthikeya makes sure that video camera is recording.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now you are going to dance like Chiranjeevi.
Abhinav gets up in trance and does that.
Now you are going to bark like a dog.
Abhinav does that. Karthikeya asks him to do some more funny stuff. Abhinav does that.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now tell me, where is your gold chain.
ABHINAV:
I gave it to Karthikeya.
KARTHIKEYA:
You are going to forget that you gave it to Karthikeya.
ABHINAV:
OK.
KARTHIKEYA:
You left your chain at home.
ABHINAV:
OK.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now tell me, where is your chain.
ABHINAV:
It’s at my home.
Karthikeya TURNS OFF the video camera and gets back to Abhinav.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now tell me , what do you think of Karthikeya.
ABHINAV:
I hate him, I don’t like him.
Karthikeya takes it coolly. He has seen so many mental patients in his career..
KARTHIKEYA:
Why you don’t like Karthikeya?
ABHINAV STARTS SPEAKING ..SPEAKING,KARTHIKEYA KEEPS ASKING ..ABHINAV KEEPS ANSWERING.
KARTHIKEYA LOOKED SURPRISED AT HIS ANSWERS..
HE IS SHOCKED TOO LITTLE BIT
HE KEEPS THINKING WHILE HE IS ANSWERING
Abhinav finishes talking.
Karthikeya brings himself back to normal. Brings Abhinav out of trance. He wakes up.
ABHINAV:
OK, tell me what happened.
KARTHIKEYA:
Let’s call everybody and watch this tape.
ABHINAV:
Come on, what all I did?
KARTHIKEYA:
Wait and see.
Karthikeya calls everyone in to the family room.
KARTHIKEYA:
Before we play this, let me ask Abhinav a question. Where is your gold chain Abhinav?
ABHINAV:
At home?
KARTHIKEYA:
Are you sure?
ABHINAV:
Of course, 100%.
Karthikeya plays the tape on VCR. They all watch Abhinav handing his chain to Karthikeya and the funny stuff ha did.
They all laugh, Abhinav too laughs.
Karthikeya gives the chain back to him.
KARTHIKEYA:
Now I think you have some respect for hypnotism.
ABHINAV:
Some what. Not full.
They laugh and finish the dinner. KARTHIKEYA KEEPS THINKING ABOUT WHAT ABHINAV SAID WHILE HYPNOTIZED. HE IS STILL IN THE SHOCK..

Location: Ananya’s Parents’ Home
Exterior
Characters: Abhinav, Ananya. Ananya’s sister Nirnaya. Ananya’s Dad Srinivas Rao and Mom Neeraja.
Sunday Morning.

ABHINAV:
Ok Ananya, take care. Call me on my cell. I will be at the Lodge in the evenings and nights.
You be careful since nobody is going to be here tonight, you call Karthikeya if you need anything, ok?
ANANYA:
Don’t worry, I will be fine. You drive carefully.
ABHINAV:
You too drive carefully if you go out shopping
ANANYA:
OK
He says bye to all and leaves in his car. Srinivasa Rao, Neeraja and Nirnaya leave that evening for wedding around 5:00PM by Bus.
Around 8:00 PM Ananya calls Abhinav.
ABHINAV:
How are you? Are you alone? Did they leave for wedding?
ANANYA:
Yes, they all left, I went out with Parimala had a dinner and came back. Did you finish dinner.
ABHINAV:
I just finished, preparing some documents for tomorrows conference. Need to go to bed early around 8:30PM.
ANANYA:
I will too, I am little scared staying alone in this big house.
Abhinav Laughs teasingly.
ABHINAV:
Scared? You said you are not scared?
ANANYA:
Yes, I said....but staying alone is always scary for woman.
ABHINAV:
That’s why I asked you to go to wedding with them, you didn’t listen. Now you are scared..
You will be fine, don’t worry, it’s just one night.
They will be back tomorrow morning. Just close your eyes and sleep. OK? Take care and call Karthikeya if you need anything. Ok?
ANANYA:
Ok.
Ananya hangs up the phone.


Location: Ananya’s Parents’ Home
Interior
Sunday around 12’o clock Midnight

THERE IS A PORCH LIGHT OUTSIDE THE HOUSE , A SMALL LIGHT IN THE HALL AND A BED LIGHT INSIDE ANANYA’S BEDROOM. POWER GOES OFF. ALL LIGHTS GO OFF.
NOT THE WHOLE STREET , JUST THEIR HOUSE.
IT’S TOO DARK INSIDE , CAN’T SEE ANYTHING.
THERE ..IS ..A PERSON..STANDING NEXT .TO ANANYA’S BED IN THAT DARKNESS.IN A BLACK PANTS AND SHIRT. HAS A FACE MASK AND GLOVES.
HE TAKES THE PILLOW SLOWLY AND PUTS..IT ON ANANYA’S FACE.
SHE STARTS TO SUFFOCATE
TRIES TO PUSH HIM AWAY SHE IS STRUGGLING
HER BODY IS CONVULSING
TRYING TO BREATH SHE STRUGGLES..STRUGGLES..AND
SLOWLY..HER BODY..GIVES UP AND .SHE DIES.
HE GETS UP.AND SIGHS HE IS RELAXED. .
PUTS THE PILLOW BACK AND ADJUSTS THE BODY AND BED SHEETS TO LOOK AS IF NO STRUGGLING HAPPENED.
MAKES SURE EVERYTHING IS INTACT.
HE TAKES OFF HIS MASK AND PUTS IN POCKET.
HE SLOWLY WALKS OUT OF THE BEDROOM
(ANANYA’S BEDROOM IS IN THE GROUND FLOOR)
AS HE WALKS INTO THE HALL .SOMEBODY FLASHES..A TORCH ON HIS FACE FROM THE STAIRS..
THAT IS ABHINAV..
HE TRIES TO HIDE HIS FACE AND RUN.
BROTHER-IN-LAW???? SAYS THAT PERSON
ABHINAV QUITS THE IDEA OF ESCAPING.
THAT IS NIRNAYA HOLDING TORCH AND SHOCKED TO SEE HIM THERE AT THIS TIME
SHE SEES HIS GLOVES
AS SHE WALKS TOWARDS HIM
THERE IS ANOTHER VOICE  WHAT HAPPENED NIRNAYA
THAT IS. SRINIVASA RAO, NEERAJA IS STANDING NEXT TO HIM..
NIRNAYA TURNS BACK AND SAYS BROTHER-IN-LAW IS HERE DAD
SRINIVASARAO:
WHAT???
IMMEDIATELY ABHINAV GRABS HER FROM BACK
AND HOLDS THE GUN AT HER HEAD.IN THAT STRUGGLE TORCH SLIPS FROM NIRNAYA’S HAND AND IT BREAKS.
IT’S TOO DARK AGAIN.
THEY CAN’T SEE THE FACES IN THAT DARKNESS.
THEY COULD SEE THAT SOMEBODY IS THERE.
ABINAV:
Don’t shout , I have a Gun, I will kill Nirnaya if you do anything stupid.Slowly come down the stairs.
Neeraja starts crying..
SRINIVASARAO:
Abinav, what you are doing? Why you are here?
ABINAV:
Shut your mouth and come down or else I will shoot her.
SRINIVASARAO:
Please don’t hurt her, I am coming down.
They come down slowly in that darkness.
SRINIVASARAO:
Where is Ananya? What did you do to her? Where did you get the Gun?
ABINAV:
Don’t ask any questions, just go and sit on the chairs.
SRINIVASARAO:
Did you kill her?
ABINAV:
Just shut up and sit there.
Neeraja tries hard not to cry They sit on the chairs ..
Nirnaya is still struggling in his hands. Weeping..
ABHINAV:
I need a Rope and tape, where do you those?
SRINIVASARAO:
There is a store room on the terrace
ABHINAV:
Nirnaya, you are going to get them for me, and again if you try to be smart, I will just shoot your dad and mom.
NIRNAYA:
I know where they are, I will do as you say, please don’t hurt anybody.
Nirnaya goes and gets those.
Abhinav ties Srinivas Rao, Neeraja to the chair. Tapes their mouths. He ties Nirnaya too but doesn’t tape her mouth.
ABHINAV:
Tell me one thing, you were at the wedding, you are supposed to be back tomorrow, how come you are here?
NIRNAYA:
Ananya Sister called us and told she was scared to be alone and forced us to come back.
We asked her to go to Parimala’s house, but she didn’t want to disturb them.
We came back around 11:00PM .Power was out, so I was coming down to get a candle.
ABHINAV:
When did she call you?
NIRNAYA:
Around 8:30 PM.
ABHINAV:
That’s what screwed up my whole plan. I talked to her at 8:00PM.
NIRNAYA:
What harm she has done to you, she always said nice things about you, we thought she was a lucky girl. Why did you kill Ananya Sister?
Abhinav is not listening..walking back and forth restlessly. He is sweating..trying figure out what to do .
He stops as if he got some idea.
Walks into Ananya’s bedroom and wraps her body in the bed sheet, ties the rope around her body.
He comes out from the bedroom
ABHINAV:
I need your car keys.Where are they?
NIRNAYA:
Next to the dining table, on the key holder
He goes and gets the keys. Opens the front door and makes sure that nobody is watching him.
Goes to the car and opens its trunk(boot).
He unties Nirnaya.
ABHINAV:
You have to help me with this. Just do as I say, no games.
NIRNAYA:
OK.
She helps him dump the body in the car.
They come back in.
Srinivasa Rao and Neeraja watch helplessly.
ABHINAV:
I am taking Nirnaya with me, just stay calm I won’t hurt you.
As they are about to leave, they here some little kid crying from upstairs.
Abhinav closes the door in a shock.
Turns to Nirnaya
ABHINAV:
Who is that???.
NIRNAYA:
That’s my cousin’s son. They live in the same city where the wedding was. We met at the wedding. He wanted to come with us.
ABHINAV:
He is the only one upstairs or anybody else?
NIRNAYA:
Only him.
ABHINAV:
How old is he? Has he seen me before?
NIRNAYA:
He is just 3, He just saw you once last year, I don’t think remembers you.
ABHINAV:
Go and get him.
Nirnaya goes upstairs, Abhinav follows her.
He checks other rooms also to make sure nobody is there.
Nirnaya gets the kid. He stops crying.
ABHINAV:
I am going to tie him too.
NIRNAYA:
Please don’t do that o him, he will suffocate. He just kid, he won’t remember and say anything.
ABHINAV:
I can’t leave him here, he might untie your parents.
NIRNAYA:
We will take him with us, he is sleeping, he will be of no harm. Please.
Abhinav thinks for a while ..
ABHINAV:
Ok, may be it’s for my own good, you can’t run away with him. Make sure he doesn’t wake up.
They lock the front door ,get in the car and leave.
Abhinav is thinking and driving
Nirnaya is crying, the kid id sleeping on her lap.
NIRNAYA:
What you are going to do with the body??
Are you going to kill us too??
Abhinav is thinking and driving he doesn’t talk.
He stops by a lake
ABHINAV:
I am thinking of dumping it in the lake but not sure how safe it is..I hate this...the whole plan is messed up..I never expected this would turn out like this .
Abhinav is thinking ..suddenly his face glows
ABHINAV:
Do you have spade in your house?
NIRNAYA:
No.
ABHINAV:
Well, I have at my house and I know a place where I could bury Ananya.
Abhinav starts the car and drives to his home.
He ties Nirnaya to the car seat and looks at the kid.
NIRNAYA:
Please don’t tie him, he won’t wake up. I will take care of him.
ABHINAV:
If anything goes wrong I will kill you all.
Abhinav goes into his house and gets two spades. Drives the car to a remote place. Stops the car and unties her.
ABHINAV:
Let’s bury her here. We need to dig. You are going to dig too.
NIRNAYA:
What about the kid.
ABHINAV:
Let him sleep. He will be ok.
They dig the whole and buries the body. Nirnaya couldn’t stop crying.
At the same time..back at Ananya’s home
Srinivas Rao and Neeraja are still crying tied to the chair
Suddenly they here somebody opening the gate they think that is Abhinav..
but they is a gentle knock on the door..their faces glow with little hope..maybe that is Gurkha..making rounds.
they try to moan hard so that they could here them but after couple of knocks..it stops and sounds like the gate was closed
Srinivasa Rao gets disappointed..
They come back to the car.Abhinav opens the car door.
 HI ABHI UNCLE SAYS THE KID, HE IS AWAKE..
ABHINAV GETS A JOLT
LOOKS AT NIRNAYA WITH A SHOCK..
NIRNAYA IS SURPRISED TOO..
ABHINAV:
He remembers me
NIRNAYA:
Please don’t anything to him, he hasn’t seen anything, he forgets that he has seen you once he goes to sleep. Please..
Abhinav agrees...but not convinced
He starts the car
NIRNAYA:
Where we are going?
ABHINAV:
We are going back to your house, I just got an idea..if that works you all will be alive..or else..you all will be dead
NIRNAYA:
What’s that?
ABHINAV:
Wait and see..
Abhinav looked little relaxed..
NIRNAYA:
Why did you kill Ananya?
Abhinav looks at Nirnaya..
ABHINAV:
Why did I kill your sister? BECAUSE..BECAUSE..YOU ARE..BEAUTIFUL..AND..YOU LOOK BETTER THAN YOUR SISTER..
NIRNAYA GETS SCARED ABHINAV LAUGHS OUT LOUD..
They reach the house, as they are about to get down another car comes towards them fast and stops before them.
Abhinav gets shocked, he didn’t expect that he doesn’t know who that is somebody gets down from that car he tries to figure out who that is but in those headlight flashes
No matter who that is..he doesn’t want to be seen by anybody
Abhinav had no choice but stay in the car
Nirnaya is little happy that she will be saved by that person..
The little kid is still awake
ABHINAV:
Nirnaya, don’t open your mouth, and no signals at all, try not to be smart, I already killed Ananya, I wouldn’t hesitate to kill you all, ia have the Gun. Just watch
That person slowly walks towards the car..
That is ..KARTHIKEYA
Karthikeya is very much surprised to see Abhinav and Nirnaya.
KARTHIKEYA:
Abhinav?? What you are doing here, I thought you were in Khammam
Abhinav slowly gets down..
ABHINAV:
Hi Karthikeya the conference was cancelled..I came back. What you are doing here at this time karthikeya?
KARTHIKEYA:
I got an emergency call at 10:00 pm from the hospital.Just came back and saw you..
Hi Karthik Uncle says that kid..
KARTHIKEYA:
Hi Nirnaya, you are supposed to be at the wedding today, how come you are here?
You all came back?
Who is this kid?He knows me..
Nirnaya is about to say something..Abhinav interrupts..
ABHINAV:
They came back couple of hours ago, that’s her cousin’s son, he is not feeling well, stomach pain, we had to take him to Hospital.He is fine now.
KARTHIKEYA:
I remember him, he came here some time back.
You go in I will get my briefcase, I will check him too and make sure he is fine.
Abhinav didn’t expect this..he is shocked..
ABHINAV:
No,No Karthik, he is fine, it’s too late why don’t go and take rest. .
KARTHIKEYA:
I am awake till now..just another 5 mins are not going to make any difference..
Abhinav tries to convine him..but karthikeya insists, goes and gets his briefcase.
Abhinav parks the car inside. Nirnaya gets out of the car with the kid ..Karthikeya joins them it’s too dark
Abhinav is sweating
KARTHIKEYA:
It’s too dark here..What happened to the porch light? I saw it while I was going to the hospital.
ABHINAV:
Must be burned out...
Abhinav acting as if he lost the keys..seaching his pockets..
ABHINAV:
My keys...
KARTHIKEYA:
You lost them? Use the calling bell.
ABHINAV:
Why waking them up at this time.....
KARTHIKEYA:
That’s true, Parimala carries the duplicate, let me go and get them.
ABHINAV:
Why waking her up here..here..I found them......
Abhinav slowly opens the door and asks them to get in
They get in..it’s dark in there..don’t see anything
Abhinav also gets in and closes the door..immediately he grabs Karthikeya from back and points his gun at his head
Karthikeya is shocked
KARTHIKEYA:
Abhinav, what is this? What you are doing?
ABHINAV:
Just shut up and do as I say or I will shoot you.
You all stand still for a while, your eyes will get used to this darkness.
KARTHIKEYA:
Abhinav, why you are behaving like this??
ABHINAV:
I said shut up, you got the lighter?
KARTHIKEYA:
In my back pocket.
Abhinav grabs the lighter and turns it on.
Karthikeya is shocked to see Srinivasa Rao and Neeraja on the chairs
ABHINAV:
You walk slowly towards the char and sit, you too Nirnaya.
Abhinav ties Karthikeya to the chairs. Looks at the kid and Nirnaya.
ABHINAV:
Why he is not sleeping? Put him to sleep or else I have to do something to him.He has been
watching all this. He remembers me and my name, he just saw mw once..he is not an ordinary kid I think he knows what is going on..
NIRNAYA:
I will put him to sleep, please don’t do anything..he doesn’t know what is going on
KARTHIKEYA:
Nirnaya what’s this all about? What’s gong on??.
NIRNAYA:
He killed Ananya..
KARTHIKEYA:
WHAT??.
Abhinav turns to Karthikeya
ABHINAV:
In fact I was about wake you up but luckily you bumped into us. I need a favor from you.
You must do it or else my Gun will talk.
It has a silencer attached to it.
KARTHIKEYA:
You can’t get away with this Abhinav, we all know this.You can’t kill us all..
ABHINAV:
That’s why I need a favor from you.
KARTHIKEYA:
What favor?.
ABHINAV:
You need to
ERASE ...THEIR..MEMORIES.
KARTHIKEYA:
What??.
ABHINAV:
THIS IDEA JUST STRUCK ME AN HOUR AGO, I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS, REMEMBER THE GOLD CHAIN THING THAT YOU DID??
